In experimenteller zur Abstraktion tendierender Form nähert sich die Videoarbeit der Frage nach der Beschaffenheit einer unter dem Zeichen eines Traumas sich konstituierenden Erinnerung und der damit einhergehenden Selbstwahrnehmung an. Unterschiedlichste Materialien – Röntgenbilder, Fotomontagen, Videomaterial, Super 8-Filme, die von Körpersounds überlagert werden, spüren der Beschaffenheit der Abbildung des Inneren im Äußeren nach. Formal und stilistisch getrennt (Bewegungsbild, Fotografien, Video und Film) kreisen die Bilder um Verlust, innere Bilder, Abbild, Vergangenheit und Transparenz. In der Montage interagieren die verschiedenen Ebenen, greifen ineinander, verschwimmen und verschmelzen zu einem komplexen Gefüge, das latent archaische Muster aufscheinen lässt, die in der bewussten Verortung im Persönlichen und in der Sprachlosigkeit mehr erahnt als erfasst werden können.
In its experimental form, tending toward abstraction, the video approaches the question of how memory is constituted under the sign of trauma and the corresponding self-realization. The most diverse materials – x-ray images, photo montages, video material, super-8 films that are overlapped with bodily sounds, trace how the illustration of the inner in the outer is constituted. Formally and stylistically separate (moving images, photographs, video and film) the images circle around lost, inner images, illustration, past and transparency. In the montage, the various levels are integrated, take hold of each other, become blurred and melt into a complex structure that lets archaic patterns appear that can be more imagined than grasped in the conscious placement in the personal and in the lack of words.
